February is in full swing and we have two MMSMP colors to feature! The first is from our European line. It’s our soft and dusty pink, Arabesque.
While this pink may invoke images of ballerinas and tutus, it works surprisingly well as a neutral and can add a soft pop of color in your home decor.
Here’s a good comparison:
Ballerinas and tutus.
See what we mean? In Circadee’s photo above, Arabesque almost takes on a beige quality due to the items around it. It looks less like ballerina pink and more like a soft neutral. Arabesque is an excellent color to play with because it can be softened with white wax for a romantic look, or darkened with antiquing wax for a more striking finish.
We’re so thankful for The Golden Sycamore‘s photos of each MMSMP color in our various finishes.
Here are some inspirational pieces to demonstrate the various looks you can achieve with our sweet pink shade.
This secretary desk was painted by Finders Keepers Barn.
Marian painted this dresser to debut Arabesque on her blog. While soft and pretty, the pairing of darker wood accessories offsets the pink color of this dresser. A sturdy wooden chair and a basket backpack evoke a more masculine look.
These chairs were painted by Emily Rose Vintage in the UK.
So if you have never painted with pink before, you should give Arabesque a try!
It’s good to take risks and stretch your creative boundaries.
Who knows? You may wind up falling for pink!
