I remember a time when white walls and white painted furniture was boring, ho-hum and the default choice of anyone who was afraid of making a decision about color.
Now, it’s hot. It’s the thing. We all love white and we will use it everywhere!
I am definitely digging whites, too, and have been playing with the whites in our line a lot. I thought I would share how they are each different and distinct, to help you in selecting the white that is right for you!
Linen is our warmest white. It’s creamy, without being too yellow. If the color palette in your home is warmer and you don’t use a lot of pure or cool whites, I would steer you towards Linen.
Ironstone was the very first color I picked for the MMSMP line. It is a beautiful, pure white. If you want a true white, Ironstone will be your best pick. Ironstone tends to require more coats than our other whites, since it doesn’t have as much color in it. Layer it over another white for better coverage and to minimize coats.
This is the new white on the block and it’s become my go-to. The coverage is great and it really is a perfect all-purpose white. It is a richer white that is a bit of a chameleon depending on what it’s beside and the light in the space.
Grain Sack is a grayish, off-white. It’s another white that changes character depending on the environment. I love the way it plays against brighter whites like Ironstone and Farmhouse White, which bring out the gray undertones even more.
So, which white is your favorite?
